The turbochargers installed on the EA888 Gen 3 (Golf, GTI, R, A3, S3 between 15-21) are equipped with a muffler, designed to lower turbo sound. By doing so, they introduce turbulences and loss of air flow performance directly ouf of the compressor.
This part replaces the OEM one, resulting in optimal air flow and a slight increase in turbo noise.
